HOW TO PRACTICE NEGOTIATION TECHNIQUES:

What you will need:

  • Negotiation Cards
  • Person to negotiate with
  • Negotiation Tactic Cards

How you can practice:

  1. Each negotiator is shown their BUYER/SELLER card.
  2. Each negotiator is shown their Negotiation Tactics Card.
  3. Set the negotiations to last between 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Each negotiator tries to use their selected tactic/technique.

Review & Reflect

  1. Each negotiator tries to identify the technique they believe the other negotiator was practicing.
  2. Reflect and feedback to one another.
  3. Exercise can be repeated with a different tactic.
